A Ghetto Hour 009: Firme Rolas

This week we’re getting real slow with some Firme Rolas, those slow ballads for your lowrider. Mostly on 7” so no art work as such but some great tunes none the less. The title ‘Firme Rolas’ derives from the popularity of these songs with the Hispanic American communities in the 60’s & 70’s. Also regularly called Chicano oldies these are essentially black soul songs that just struck a cord with these guys. Please stream, download from our soundcloud page, share, and enjoy.
